A Novel You Don't Just Read. You Hack.
WE DO NOT REPORT ON THE NEWS. WE DISSECT THE SOURCE CODE.
The Frequency of Debt is an immersive, interactive eco-noir cyberpunk thriller set in the exhaust pipe of the internet.
You are not a passive observer. As Rin, Kara, and Vance peel back the layers of the Stratum Conspiracy, you will interact with the tools of their resistance.
FEATURES:
- Execute the Hacks: Run real-time terminal simulations to bypass smart meters, flash firmware, and trigger the "Panic Protocol."
- Map the Territory: Navigate a live Leaflet.js tactical map of the Northern Virginia exclusion zone.
- Decode the Signal: Use spectral analysis tools to isolate the "Ghost Frequency" (18.98 Hz) weaponized against the poor.
- See the Truth: Watch the narrative unfold through high-fidelity CSS interfaces that blur the line between a book and a dossier.
Northern Virginia, 2040. The "Data Alley" consumes 70% of the world’s power, and silence has become a luxury subscription service. For Rin Sato, a data-janitor suffering from neurological "Haptic Drift," the constant 40Hz hum of the massive Stratum IAD-X data center across the street isn't just noise—it’s a weapon.
When an algorithmic eviction notice lands on her table, Rin and her roommate Kara decide to fight back. They don't plan a protest; they plan a heist. Their goal: hack the smart meter to prove the data center is stealing power.
But when their optical side-channel attack pierces the facility’s strobe-light defenses, they don't find server racks. They find a wireframe ghost on their screen: a 3D-printed human skull.
Teaming up with a disgraced environmental lawyer and a teenage chaos engineer living in a dead mall, they unravel a conspiracy that goes deeper than code. Stratum isn’t building AI. They are harvesting "Bio-Mimetic" processors—human minds trapped in amber, forced to dream for the profit of a virtual world.
